Trip to Rome 3

Finally, the last day we caught a bus to a neighborhood where we spent the morning buying souvenirs and we had lunch very early. After that we went back to the hotel, picked our suitcases and went by bus to the airport. There we had some free time until the plane took off. That Thursday I arrived late at home, but I didn't matter because I didn`t want the trip to end...

For me, the best of this trip, apart from visiting Rome which is great, has been the experience with all the classmates, especially the ones in floor 2 in the hotel, who were my bests friends 'Les xatis'. We had two rooms, 20 and 29,  which were completely shared. During the day we visited Rome and saw lots of places and then we could spend the nights in our room just talking and spending some time together.

I think that it's been such a great week and I wouldn't change anything about it. It couldn't have been better!

Trip to Rome 2

One time in the hotel, we left the suitcases and went to the toilet. Then, we started to walk and visited lots of things, don't remember exactly what. After a while, we didn't walk as fast as the guide expected and we got lost. Luckily we found a teacher and some classmates that were lost too. Almost nobody knew where the guide was.
When we found her, we kept walking and had lunch. After it we spent some time sat down in a square and then, we contiued visiting places. We had a ''great'' dinner in a restaurat and went to the hotel to sleep.

The second day was pretty much the same. We visited lots of places which were absolutely nice, we walked a lot and at the end of the day we were exhausted. I really liked the Colisseum. At night, we celebrated a friend's birthday and the party finished in our room. All the people left it about 2 a.m.

The third day we went to the Vatican city. We were lucky and the pope was going round the square in his car so we saw him very close, After this, we did some time in a cue to enter the Vatican Museums which were awesome. In the afternoon we went out of the Vatican and kept visiting squares and castles in Rome.

Trip to Rome.

After having some arguments about the place for the end of year trip, we finally decided to go to Rome. During all the year, we did things to earn money for it like selling chips and drinks in Santa Catalina. Some weeks before it, we decided a colour for the sweatshirt, obviouslly, not without arguments. We chosed grey and each one put his name and a number in his back.

Finally, after waiting and thinking about the trip all the year, the day arrived.

On Sunday morning, I packed most of the clothes and shoes and in the evening I met friends. When I arrived at home, I had dinner and I closed the suitcase. I tried to sleep a little bit but it was impossible. At 1:30h we left Vinaròs in a bus to Barcelona's airport. There, we spent some hours doing nothing although they were quick for me. I also tried to sleep in the plane but I only could rest for a while. Then, we spent about an hour in the bus to the hotel and it was there where I could sleep a little bit. The guide told us some interesting things about Rome but I'm afraid I've forgot some of them.

Tenis afternoons

This Easter, one afternoon we decided to go to the tenis club and play a match. At first, it wasn't suposed to be a competition but after 5 minutes playing everything changed. Elvira and I were playing against Xavi and David. We decided to bet 5 euros each one. The team who lost would have to pay the others... We won the match after all the afternoon playing and we were very happy.
As we had won the first one, we decided to do the rematch the next day... And this time it didn't go as good as we thought it was going to be. We lost our 5 euros which was depressing. Our relief was that we had won them the day before so we were exactly with the same money as before.
Our worst decision was playing one last match the afternoon before going to Rome. It was there where we definetly lost 5 euros each one. We were very sad and that's why we decided not to bet again, maybe 10 euros would hurt too much. Maybe we had the begginner's luck but I think that they were lucky too...

April

For me, April has been the best month of this course. After finishing exams the third week of March, we started doing some things  as drawing or colouring things for the Maria Rosa Molas day. We also did some for the Open Day and like this, days passed until the Easter holidays arrived.
For a good start, my friends and I went out on Holy Thursday. It was a very good night because most of my friends went out and we had fun. The disco brought a man from Quien quiere casarse con mi hijo which I didn't matter at all.
During this ten days of holidays, I didn't do anything special. I went out for lunch or dinner some days with friends and as we usually do, we met almost every evening.
The last weekend of Easter, we went out again. This time, we celebrated a friend's birthday. She invited us to have dinner. We really enjoyed that night.
After that, school started but we were leaving next week  so we were excited and we didn't work at all in class. We spent the next week in Rome and after that we went out on Saturday, as a goodbye to parties. Now, I supose we'll have to work a little until the end of May.
It's been such a great month.

4th of ESO

This year I've done 4th of ESO. When summer finished, I was depressed because I didn't want to study and to have a routine again but it hasn't been so bad. Now, there's only one month left and it looks like I'll have to study during two or three weeks.
This year, I think that I've spent more weeks doing nothing or just going to school and having a little bit of homework than really studying hard. As some people says, 4th is the best year and they're right.
I've helped doing the nativity scene at school, we spent some hours of class doing things for Santa Catalina, we worked less than usual after the weeks of exams and also on the previous weeks to holidays. After Christmas we worked a little bit, but then Carnival arrived. After that we studied some weeks and since exams finished until coming back from Rome we haven't done much or at least, that's my feeling.
On one side, I want this course to finish and enjoy summer but on the other hand I don't want to leave school because I like it and also because I know that this means starting bachelor's degree after summer.
For me, It's been an easy course, much more than 3rd, and also the funniest one.

Carnival.

In Vinaròs, we celebrated Carnival some months ago. Carnival started as usual on Friday, these day I didn't go out because my parents thought it wasn't ''necessary''. Despite this, I went out on Saturday which for me was the best day of all...

That day I had luch with some friends and then the party started. From about 6:30 we were in the football field until 22 more or less. After that we went to a restaurant to have dinner which was such a big show. Then we went to the famous 'Casetas' and the party continued.

I also went out on Thursday, pijama's night and on Friday, crazy night. Everybody was looking forward to the pijama's night and as  we expected we had a great night. On Friday, although we were tired, we had all the day to sleep and rest at home. That night we dressed up as monkeys, which was funny. That night was better than the other.
After that, Carnival finished for me because I didn't take part in the two parades.

domingo, 1 de febrero de 2015

Hi Emily,
How are things with you? Sorry I haven't written for ages - I've been very busy studying and with exams at school. But they're over now and the holidays have begun. I'm going on holiday next week to Rome. I'm looking for a job but I haven't found anything yet.
Enough of me. Do you remember Maria? He's going to live to another country next month because her parents have found a job there. John and Maria have broken up and Maria has decided to leave school next month. She says that she's tired of studying. My family is fine. My sister has passed all her exams and my parents have bought her a present.
What have you been up to? Are you still enjoying life in New York?
We must get together early. Write soon.
Love,
Irene.

Getting together

Sara and John have been married for 5 years now. Everything started at school. They used to go to the same school and also the same class. They were very good friends. At the age of 12 they went to different high schools. At first they met on Saturdays but it wasn't the same. Some years after each one went to universityand one day they were talking when they realised that they were going to live to the same place and study the same things...Everything was like some years ago, when they were in primmary school. John asked Sara out. She accepted and they went out for 6 months . They had a big argument but they made up quickly. After that they got engaged and when they finished university they got married. Since then until now, they've been married for 5 years.

My lifestyle.

I think I have quite a healthy diet. I eat a lot ofmeat and fish although maybe I don't eat enough vegetables because I don't like them. I probably drink too much fizzy drinks like cola... I should drink much more water but I never remember to do it.
At school I have two PE lessons a week. Sometimes we run or we do other activities. In my free time I go to the swimming pool twice a week, on Mondays and Frdays. In the summer I sometimes play basketball with my friends.
In my free time I also like wathing TV series, I usually meet friends on Friday and Saturday evenings and when I don't have exams, also on Sundays. Sometimes I think I should read a book or do something cultural as some years ago I used to do but finally I always lose my time watching the mobile phone and when I realise I don't have time.

Vinaròs.

I live in a small town in the east of Spain. Its name is Vinaròs and its by the sea. The town has changed a lot over the years.
In the past the town was much smaller. There used to be some small shops and now there are lots of them, There didn't use to be housing states but now there are lots of them.
There used to be one or two factories. Maybe some of them closed but now there are new ones. People used to work there and now some of them work in other places.
People didn't use to have cars, not everybody could afford them. Now all the people travel by car or they just walk. There's also a bus to go to the nearest cities.
The town, Vinaròs, is much bigger than it was and I think it has improved in different ways. In my opinion now it's bigger and noisier, but for me, it's better.
I've lived in Vinaròs since I was born and although it has some bad things, I really like it. I always enjoy the beach in summer and there are some great parties here, like Carnival.

Sant Sebastià

About ten days ago was Sant Sebastià. It's a special day here in Vinaròs. Young people go the night before to the hermitage and spend the day there. The adults usually walk to the hermitage at 7:30 more or less. This year my friends and I met at 3:30 am in the town hall but some friends and I were a little bit late and we finally met them in the swimming pool at 4 am, they were waiting for us... On our way to the hermitage lots of things happened, this day you always see some people that is already going home or some crazy ones. I don't know exactly how much time we needed to arrive there but I guess it was about two hours. We spent some time there but at about 7 o'clock everybody was ''dead'' After some hours people started to appear and the day continued. We spent the day there just talking and watching people going up and down. After having lunch we fell asleep on the floor. At 5 o'clock we catched a bus and went home. It was an exhausting day so I spent the evening sleeping.

End of year.

This year I celebrated this day with most of my friends. We had been planning this night some weeks ago. We always said that it was going to be unforgettable and... it was. Some of us went to Maria's house to have dinner. We were there since 10 o'clock. When everybody arrived we had dinner and after that we ate, or well, tried to eat the twelve grapes. Some people prefered eating nothing and others did it its way. After the twelve grapes, more friends arrived and the party started. We had a great spotify list so we danced a lot. The party was totally crazy, everybody was doing things that had no sense. We went to sleep very late but the next day we couldn't get up so late. We helped our friend to clean her garden and after that I went to my house. The only thing I wanted to do was sleeping but I had to go to my grandparents house to have lunch with all my family. Luckily the lunch didn't start until 3 o'clock and I had some time to have a shower. It was the best party ever, all the things that we expected were accomplished.

Halloween

The 31st of October was Halloween. Some years ago I didn't use to celebrate it but now I do. Halloween isn't a Spanish party but people here celebrate it as it was.
This year all the streets were full of people wearing costumes, some shops put Halloween decorations... This evening I met some friends and while some of them were dancing along the street with their dance academy we went to buy some things for the night.
When they finished we met and went to a kebab to have dinner. We had to go to three different ones because all were full of people. We finished having dinner at 12 o'clock and after that we went to a friend's house. She lives in the south coast so we had to walk up there. We were distracted and when we realised, we were lost. We didn't know exactly were was the house but after a while a friend came and showed us the way with her motorbike. When we arrived the party started... It was such a great night!
